Removals - did you pay for all the extras (insurance, waiting time)

Have had quotes today with various options, insurance seems a given (though since anything we pack isn't covered, not as good as I'd assumed) but there are also options to ensure against needing to cancel/move the date, and one that allows an extra 1.5 hours waiting time if you don't get the keys on time. They are between £60-£80 each.
Should I? Would you?
Going to be around £700 without these.

Your existing house insurance should cover you for no extra cost - check with them.

Friend of mine had her entire life belongings stolen from a BAR remover due to completion unexpectedly being delayed by 24 hours and the van being left unattended overnight. Keep this to mind.

I wish I'd bought the cancel/move date insurance as our house sale fell through. 😔

Thank you both for the replies. I will give the insurance a phone then before I accept, £80 for just one day does seem a lot.

Sorry for your friend Daisies and I hope you found a new place Trixy.
