I absolutely love it!

It's cheap for London.

YelloDraw · 01/10/2016 17:17

I don't like the interior but what a great amount of space for the price! I'd want to move the kitchen up on level so you have a living level and a bedroom level.

EagleRay · 01/10/2016 17:17

I agree it's cheap for London - I live in the West Country and my house is roughly the same price per sq ft

YelloDraw · 01/10/2016 17:18

It's nearly 3000 square feet. Its fucking massive - bigger than most 4 bed houses.

SuperFlyHigh · 01/10/2016 17:18

Interesting... Just down the road from me and one of my exes lived in one of those houses (in a flat) for a while.

The area is dicey to put it mildly... Improving... But very slowly. Just near Selhurst Park football stadium (crystal palace!).

The balcony is nice. In fact for what you get its actually quite reasonable.

FinderofNeedles · 01/10/2016 17:19

It's the OP's home and she's posted for traffic. Maybe.

Forgetmenotblue · 01/10/2016 17:20

Lovely flat. Looks like it's been loved by the people who live there. I like that in a property. The 'done up for sale everything white" ones are so soulless.

SuperFlyHigh · 01/10/2016 17:20

albert it's not cheap, my mum's house also nearby valued at similar... It's on the pricey side for a maisonettes but is period and you do get 4 bedrooms.

Plus, near Thornton Heath, Selhurst and Norwood Junction train stations. --vile area otherwise though

Wondering if Westfield Croydon is putting prices up...

SuperFlyHigh · 01/10/2016 17:24

Actually that's average price now I think of it for that size of maisonette.... But I think the decor will put many off. The park nearby (Grange) also isn't the safest at night.

gettingtherequickly · 01/10/2016 17:26

They appear to have bought the decor from Versace. Not a good thing in my opinion.

SinglePringle · 01/10/2016 17:31

Whilst it's a little over the top, I do love the house and the fact they've decorated in colours and style appropriate to the period. I love it.

PinkissimoAndPearls · 01/10/2016 17:33

I absolutely love it. I'm not renowned for my good taste though Smile

BreakfastAtSquiffanys · 01/10/2016 17:34

Back patio looks lovely but front of house looks awful. Zero kerb appeal

Mummyoflittledragon · 01/10/2016 17:34

Is that a round bath in the second bathroom.

Rather opulent. Definitely fab. Getting a bit bored of my more modern decor.

Laineymc7 · 01/10/2016 17:43

I love it too. Massive rooms with lots of character. Would just need to change some decor as it's very tailored to the current owners taste which isn't everyone's.

It is not my home and I haven't posted for traffic. Just to clear that up. I am house hunting in the area, it just came up on my search. It is the most unusual thing I've seen for a couple of years but if you were to search my posting history you'd see I've posted about lots of SE London properties over the years ...

I don't know why, but your post has really pissed me off!!

Wine Wine Wine

I know it's not your house. But it's fucking lovely and very cheap for London!

IlPorcupinoNilSodomyEst · 01/10/2016 18:36

I think I like it ... But why don't people tidy their beds properly before taking photos?! Sheets hanging out and crumpled duvets!

Didiusfalco · 01/10/2016 18:56

Go look round it OP! I want to know who lives in a house like that (to paraphrase Lloyd Grossman)

I think it's amazing, I feel a sort of horrified admiration for their taste.

dotdotdotmustdash · 01/10/2016 23:13

I would rather live in this house than in an ultra-modern home with lots of black/white/chrome features. This house looks warm and alive instead of dead and clinical.

gettingitwrongputingitright · 01/10/2016 23:15

Its fab. I would change the decor though.

Shiningexample · 01/10/2016 23:37

I LOVE the decor
all those bold colours look great
the reds, oranges, gold, etc
gorgeous :o

sooperdooper · 01/10/2016 23:49

I love it, great character!! I'd happily live there :)

You could swap the layout however you want - just because they're using the rooms on the lower ground with the kitchen as bedrooms doesn't mean it's compulsory!

Shiningexample · 01/10/2016 23:50

does anyone have any more like that, it's making me want to do some decoratingHalo

Fairylea · 02/10/2016 00:00

Wow. So expensive. I moved from that area 10 years ago and I'm amazed at the house prices now. It was quite a dodgy area then, there's no way I'd buy a house there.
