Is this a realistic uplift? It is a 2 bed, 2 reception (semi)which has been totally refurbished wood floors new bathroom and kitchen
Decking at the back Then a large loft room with shower room/wc built into the roof. Original fireplaces left.
Yeah thinking of offering .We love it It has been on the market since May
and just reduced by 5k this month

What are other similar properties going for and are the renovations DIY or tradesmen?

I would want installation by tradesmen -electrics, boiler... to come with receipt/paperwork/guarantee.

Are any DIY bits done to a high standard? I've seen houses where people have DIY'ed badly so it would have to be ripped out and done again.

It depends entirely on what price other similar properties in the area go for.

doesn't matter what they have spent on it, what's the valuation.

They can want that but will the mortgage surveyor agree? Do a bit of research on similar properties in the area and recent sold prices from the Land Registry.

Cheers. The house next door went for £38k less last year . It has one bed
and one bathroom less and no decking. Plus all rooms look outdated.
Kitchen is yuck so I think the price is ok

£38,000 for a bedroom and bathroom is pretty good going
