Help....think I may have ruined my brand new induction hob!

As the title says....never had one before, it's been in about a month. It looks badly scratched or marked but doesn't look like food stains, it's on the centre zone. DH reckons its from a cheap wok pan I bought but the pan itself is totally smooth on the bottom. I'm really worried about how to try and get it off, have tried kitchen and glass spray and rubbing with a plastic spatula and cloth. Anyone else had this and can advise? I assumed they'd be a bit more durable. Is it worth me ordering the manufacturers cleaning and glass scraper kit?

Tefal pans are really good for induction too. We have a great Wok in the same range too. They're pretty expensive, but you can get them on offer sometimes....

If you buy Tefal be careful to double check the label as some of their pans won't work on induction hobs. I had one at our rental apt in Spain and bought it home when we gave up the apartment as I had just bought it. Didn't work on my induction hob so DS got an almost new pan for his flat.

Personally I just walked around TKMax with a magnet to select my saucepans!

thanks. tried the bosch kit with the scraper but only a slight improvement, going to pick up some bi carb, distilled white wine and barkeepers and have another try

Apologies for bumping old thread but just wondering if you ever managed to get your hob clean @debal ?

I have used our wok on our new hob this evening and it has left a mark which no amount of cleaning is shifting. Will buy Barkeepers friend tomorrow but worrying that I have ruined the hob after being so careful with it!
