painting inside of playhouse

So inside it's already treated with preservative but is boring brown. DCs want it rainbow colours. Can't afford lots of tins of special coloured preservative paints.

Can I use a wood primer then emulsion, or even better bright colour kiddy paints??

Wishful thinking?

My dc's painted the inside of grandma's playhouse with emulsion and tester pots of household paint.
It's lasted about 5 years so far. The fact it's undercover means it can be treated as an interior not an exterior iysim

Reading back, that sounds like my MIL has a playhouse all to herself, but she does have one in her garden! Smile

Yeah, I'd do that. It's not exposed to the weather.

Great thank you ☺
And now to keep the paint inside the playhouse not work it's way anywhere else!

We used left over emulsion two years ago. It still looks good.
