We are looking to buy a 4 bed property in one of those areas (schools not a concern) - which would you angle for and why? We are looking at these properties - which one would you plump for do you think?

Brixton - which one day could look like this (same road) Helix Road 2

Herne Hill

West Dulwich

So as an update, we finally plumped for Brixton, and have just started the process of buying this place.

Very happy indeed.

Chantrey Road

I had a few other threads talking about Vauxhall and whatnot, but for those who like a nice update.

Hopefully in by November!

ooh I love Helix rd house - though wouldn't have so many rooms in that blue-grey. Still wouldn't have guessed it's so spacious and flowy behindthat facade!
I'd go for Brixton, OP, on a quiet rd. If you aer not bothered by rail noise then you wouldn't mond the your profs partying - though best to check who the neighnoursaer, i.e. not a huge and young house share - many in that area.

I like W.Dulwich - it's 10min to Victoria! Also you get more for your money due to lack of cafes on doorstep - it gas a bit of a suburban peaceful feel. Depends how much you like to have a nice high st nearby. BUT if anything's wrong with the trains you are stuck.

Oh my, OP! huige contratulations! I've just responded after reading the 1st page and was recommending Brixton all in all. And the decor is not heavy like in Helix rd (though I love the house). I'm (very nicely) envious! a big house in london, on quick line to S.Ken which I use a lot for the V&A. I would go for that place, I so would!
