I've painted the walls of my south facing bedroom a greyish blue - Dulux Raven plume - with white woodwork and coving. In an ideal world would have lovely dark stained wooden floorboards as the flooring but they're in an extremely poor condition so prob best covered. I'm really struggling to work out which colour carpet to choose - grey ? beige ? greige ? So much choice and not enough time lol Fitter is coming to measure up this afternoon ?? I'm currently considering a kind of textured look in 80:20 wool / man made. Just wondered if anyone had any ideas ? House is a Victorian stone terrace so lovely high ceilings and a big window looking onto garden, furniture dark wood antiquey. Thanks in advance

With your description I think that dark floorboards/ dark furniture would be a mistake. I think greige unless the room is North facing and then beige. Keep bedding white.
Nothing too dark on the floor.

Sorry, I looked again at raven plume on the Dulux website and there is a colour "caramel sands" that would be great for a carpet colour.

I am rubbish about choosing carpets. I hate what I chose for my stairs and landing. But I just wanted to say the paint colour is amazing. Good choice!
