Is it me or is the shower at the end of the bed in this flat?

Tiny wee studio flat in London.
I'm sure that it's a shower cubicle squeezed in at the end of the bed there.

the description Shower cubicle, tiled splashback, hot and cold shower controls.
says it all, really.

Pipbin · 16/10/2015 22:57

It says 'Bathroom: Shower cubicle .........'
It doesn't say 'BEDROOM: Shower cubicle...........'

Is it a converted public loo?

Catzpyjamas · 17/10/2015 00:02

At least you would know the plumbing had been well tested if it was.

wowfudge · 17/10/2015 08:37

Tarzan - I don't think you could convert the attic: look at the pitch of the roof.

iPaid · 17/10/2015 08:55

According to the video tour it is Sold STC

I think the packets of Daz and Vim add a poignancy to it ...

Pipbin · 17/10/2015 22:56

The Daz and Vim caught my eye too.
I did notice that on the 'Video Tour' ffs.

The second one looks like an old victorian public loo.
I can't believe people would actually want to live in any of those.
Where is their pride?
Only professionals on high incomes would have that sort of money, I don't get it.
I find a lot of London property and lifestyle to be a bit Emperor's new clothes
tbh. I often think businesses that sell services to those trapped there are like the one on that comedy sketch "We saw you coming". Grin

stopfaffing · 17/10/2015 23:28

Pipbin, that second property, in the basement looks really damp. Did you see in the tatty kitchen, the oven was filled with stuff and covered in tape.

Ciske · 17/10/2015 23:44

Property #2 - would it really have killed them to unwrap the flowers before making the pictures? I mean, they managed to stuff the dirty dishes in the oven and hide the suitcases - finish the look!

Poor Londoners. It might be grim up North but at least we can afford walls between our rooms.

Pipbin · 18/10/2015 00:02

I hadn't noticed the plates in the oven Ciske. It looks upsettingly damp doesn't it. And a snip at the price.

Is it? It's not showing as sold on Rightmove.

So on the one hand, needs complete renovation and new everything- on the other, lots of underground space to hide the bodies...

Swings and roundabouts!

Well, it's handy for the fire station....

StayWithMe · 25/10/2015 09:23

Good grief, I've only just realised the spots mustn't be working so they've taped a cable to the cealing and stuck a light there. That must be running off a plug somewhere! Shock The owner must be living in poverty in thus overpriced dump. Talk about property rich, money poor. Sad

Pipbin · 27/10/2015 21:09

Just found this one. www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-36891528.html

I'm confused, is the bathroom up a ladder?

OP posts:
Pipbin · 27/10/2015 21:11

I've had another look at the floor plan, no it isn't, you come in to a lobby with the bathroom then up to the flat and bedroom.
I actually like that one.

OP posts:
Bearbehind · 27/10/2015 21:13

I don't think so- I think the bathroom is down the staircase and the ladder leads to the roof terrace.

DraculasDixieNormas · 27/10/2015 21:13

I think the bedrooms up the ladder but the bathrooms on the floor below the kitchen/livingroom

wowfudge · 27/10/2015 21:13

No - looking at the floor plans the bathroom is on the floor below the living accommodation. Must be the roof terrace (not demised) that's up the ladder.

Pipbin · 27/10/2015 21:14

The bedroom is next to the ladder. I think it might just be storage.

OP posts:
DraculasDixieNormas · 27/10/2015 21:15

oh yes terrace is up the ladder, that makes more sense!
