When to book a removal company + Any reccomendations - Merton/Surrey area

It looks like we're getting closer to exchange and I was wondering when you're supposed to start looking at & booking a removal company?

I've never done this before so not sure how it works, last time was just a move from my parent's house so we took our time and did it in stages, obviously this is going to be very different.

We're in the Merton/Surrey area so if anyone has any reccomendations for any companies it would be very much appreciated.

Hi, I moved to Merton (south Wimbledon) 3 years ago from south east London and used Steve Frieze, both for packing and moving. They were excellent, couldn't fault them at all, and I would heartily recommend.

you need to get booking now - any decent removers will know that you can't make a definite date until exchange, so make a provisional one.

get decluttering and get packing if you are doing it yourself - if you've a lot of stuff, work or have kids, get them to pack.

Fridays are pricier but hard to avoid.

We used Burke and Wills in Wimbledon, and they were excellent. I think we booked them about 3 weeks in advance but they were good about us changing the date a couple of times.
