Many estate agents have no idea what makes a good set of photos. So many close ups of features (although I agree that sink is not a feature!) and basically pictures of people's furniture that don't show the layout of the room - ie what people actually care about.
There is an EA round here that takes a close up of a vase of cut flowers in every house they photograph. Then don't bother to take pictures of all the bedrooms, or the bathroom. We're in a commuter town popular with London leavers, so often buyers have to make the decision whether to travel from London to view a house on the strength of the photos. Madness.
