That is odd. Not particularly flashy ones at that. I guess they are having trouble working out what they can show if they are new-builds but still!

I'm going to hazard a guess that the show home isn't finished yet, bathrooms and kitchens go in before the rest of the decorating is finished.

Weird - I don't like the kitchen sink and taps at all! And why bother with the bathroom sink when you can already see in in the wider shot?

They'll probably add more photos once the decorating is finished - and the show home is 'dressed'.

Agree - that kitchen sink/tap combo is nasty and the bathroom basin is definitely not selling an aspirational contemporary lifestyle even for a starter home.....I'd want to change them straight away!

Many estate agents have no idea what makes a good set of photos. So many close ups of features (although I agree that sink is not a feature!) and basically pictures of people's furniture that don't show the layout of the room - ie what people actually care about.

There is an EA round here that takes a close up of a vase of cut flowers in every house they photograph. Then don't bother to take pictures of all the bedrooms, or the bathroom. We're in a commuter town popular with London leavers, so often buyers have to make the decision whether to travel from London to view a house on the strength of the photos. Madness.

I would be more concerned that there are brown base units and white wall units in the kitchen, and the brown ones look cheap.

Wondering if the agent that takes the flowers photos is the same one I have seen (not far from NW London).

A few years ago there was a new development of 10 luxury houses (think £2M+) near us. I went and had a look round the show homes (IIRC, they had dressed two or three of them) and they all had dark brown kitchen units - admittedly good quality ones - but I thought they looked awful.

Tremolo An EA near us in Yorkshire likes to take very close up pictures of doorknobs. It was okay on a few houses we looked at where they had original, very decorative, Victorian cast iron ones but a close up of a B&Q brass knob circa 1995 isn't going to do much to persuade me to buy a house TBH.
