Relocating from the south to Manchester. Been looking at houses in suburb areas around Manchester. Saw a really nice four bedroom detached on mottram road in Hyde, is priced at £475k. Been looking at reviews on Internet about Hyde area - mostly not very good ones. Is this too much price to pay in this area? Anyone can give us some advice?
We prefer suburb area but still easily drivable to Manchester centre.

Hello everyone, we are first time buyers and we are looking to buy our first home, budget is 330k. Initially, my work is at East didsbury Manchester but I currently live in Worsley. We are looking at Northwich in Cheshire, Hyde, and Preston. For Preston, the commute is around 40mins to my work and I’ll be doing three times a week 7am to 8pm, I do know if it’s doable to live and commute to didsbury from preston(bamber bridge)

northwich is around 30mins commute but the house type isn’t doing it for us as well.

we have found a house in Hyde but I don’t know much about the place, is it a good place to live in 2024?

what of Oldham? Is there any part of Oldham that is good?

we just don’t want to stay too far away from Manchester that’s why we are looking at something around or within. We found a barat home in Macclesfield as well but we are not sure if we should live there as I noticed it’s a traffic prone area.

please advice me and also suggest areas I can look at considering work and also good environment as I still have school age children.

I didn’t know buying a home is this tudious especially when it comes to deciding where to buy.

thanks in advance
