So, wall tie survey (on house we are looking to buy) say wall ties all showing advanced corrosion and need replacing. Have a quote for the work and scaffolding (circa £2000 +VAT) but it also says that the hacking off must be done before the job starts. Anyone know what's involved in the hacking off? Is this all the render or just where the wall ties are and any idea on costs for this and re-rendering a 4 bed 1930's semi?
