Hello,

I need to get wardrobes for our house, there are none as present. I want fitted wardrobes in the bedrooms. Im not sure what to do, use a company like Sharps or use an independent company or carpenter.

I happened to go past a sharps the other day and was not impressed by what they had in their store display, looked "cheap" but maybe thats a bit harsh. The customer service lady was no good either and didn't really explain anything!

I want a shaker style painted finish, maybe on a wood veneered cupboard, solid wood would be out of rage price wise I think.

any ideas on where I should go, what I should ask ??

were located in SW london

I can recommend a carpenter, if you like: Mark at London Kiwi Carpentry.

Hi Zinxie

Gil put in new bathrooms, wired new kitchen lights, replaced the old kitchen counter tops, replaced the old kitchen cupboard doors with custom - made ones etc. I am more than happy to give you his mobile number.

Crocodopolis · 19/04/2015 18:27

Oops! Confused two different carpenters. Mark replaced my garden fence; Gil did the kitchen / bathroom work.

Yes please, Croc. I need Gil! Where is he based? Does he have an online presence?

Crocodopolis · 21/04/2015 16:19

Google images "buttermilk bedroom" there are some lovely pieces on there

Defo get an independent chippy - you can design exactly what you want and I personally think that wood (or mdf) painted in a bit of farrow and ball will look much classier than sharps - and be cheaper!
