What things about a rural property do I need to consider?

So after 30 years of city life we are moving to the country. I am househunting this weekend and want to think of all the questions I need to ask / invesitage that are specific to rural life.

So far I have - time of last bus, location of taxi firm, check type of farmland that surrounds property, what type of heating / sewage / power, what is the mobile phone signal like / what are the internet facilities.

Can you think of any others?

So yours advice was pricless - i think it should be turned into a book. So looked at all sorts - ruled out those that would create mud issues and found the perfect house But.................I am now freaking out about being totally rural. As I have a DD aged 11 who would not be able to go anywhere without a life. Me and DH are totally cool with the taxi service but I worry it will restrict her growing any independance and also would worry that she would not be happy on her own in the house in the middle of no where. So now thinking maybe edge of village is better but then it becomes more £££.

Not sure what to do!

Just Decided against a gorgeous village due to teen needs. I would live tgere like a shot. As would DimpleDog but reality is we need to be near achook, facilities and choice of bus routes with v regular buses. Not prepared to spend the bext decade taxiing dc around any more than necessary. Plus want them to be more independent. Oh and country roads are frightening enough anyway without added factor of inexperienced teen driver.

Supermarket deliveries (and, indeed, any deliveries). We cannot get deliveries (extremely rural) and it is a total pain.
