Selling house with Aga - good or bad?

Hi

We're selling our 3 bed rural cottage. We have a modern, 2 oven electric Aga and nothing else (oven wise).

How can we 'sell' the Aga to make sure it doesn't put off non-agaists!

Should we say on house details that price incl Aga but that we can offer reduction to take it with us?

Or offer to replace with a decent electric range (we don't have gas) if Aga not wanted.

If you don't like an Aga, how much would it out you off, and what would make it a non-issue for you?

My oil fired aga cost 6,000 quid 12 years ago. I would think if you sell after removing it you'll cover the cost (of removing it).

At this time of year I would think it is a plus.

I have an aga and a 2 ring hob and a microwave/ convection oven/ solar heater (or something like that never use it) on the worktop so you don't have to have a full size cooker as well.

I love my aga. It's electric and therefore programable so doesn't cost too much to run. It's down low when I'm out and up to temp when I need to be cooking. I'm Hmm about the electric agas being inferior comment, it's a hell of a lot cheaper than oil or gas that's for sure.

Agas are a plus point if selling a property especially if it is the electronic type

If it really does cost 100 pounds pcm to run, whatever you do don't tell potential buyers this!! If they ask tell them you don't know. Any sensible person would do their own research online.

for me, it would be a great positive if you were to remove it before I moved in. It's a hassle I wouldn't want immediately on moving (and nor is an electric aga! would actively avoid!)

I'm too honest / thick lucky. I did all the viewings last time and I'm fairly sure that's why we didn't sell. I'm going to get DH to do it this time. He has a much higher moral threshold than me and so will happily bend some truths if need be.
