Where would you spend a third of a million in London?

Inspired by another thread but this one has a slightly smaller budget! Grin About £300,000 isn't even the average amount a property costs in London... But anyway.

If you had about £300,000-350,000 and wanted somewhere for you and DH plus potential dc, where would you look?

Sorry - did I miss something? I thought you wanted to be commutable for Buckinghamshire.
Herts is literally a short bus ride or one tube station from a London post code.
Just ignore me if I have completely missed the point. Grin

Financing was done with mortgages. I sought out brokers who had strong relationships with smaller lenders. I put 20% down on prices that were £80-150k. I used additional cash to do the places up and then refinanced to get the cash back out. The properties were rented with two sold in the past 3 years.

The advantage of pubs is that breweries did a good job of maintaining them. One place was empty for 10 years and the damage was minimal compared to what I expected. Reno costs in one place were extremely simple with me only redoing the kitchen and putting up drywall to separate the space. I kept the multiple toilets downstairs as the family who was buying had four kids plus grandparents! With only one toilet upstairs the additional 4 toilets were a welcome feature.
