Has anyone done this? How did you separate the office part? Disadvantages?

Actually that's a good point tits - I'm one of those hypersensitive people who can hear phone chargers etc, so I'm pretty sure his massive thunderbolt screen and devices would keep me awake... Confused

The cloffice (good word) wouldn't work due to DH's fancy desk and chair being pretty big. He's still in the baby's room, but days like today when I wanted to put her down for a nap and he was working in there suggest that it won't work - and it's definitely not a medium to long term solution as she'll be old enough to fiddle with his wires in no time Grin

Hmm. I think it's either the garden office (and dh is concerned about Internet connectivity there) the loft, or put the kids in together and see how that works. I'm leaning towards the latter as, if it's a disaster, we can always then shell out the money for an office. Renting office space is something he's looked into before but we were living further from the city centre then. I'll suggest it I think. Maybe I'll post a thread asking for experiences of sharing a room that young!

Oh, and we only moved in last year so definitely not moving anytime soon! It's our first family home.

Can DC2 sleep in DC1's bedroom (or even bed) during the day, and in the office at night?

Have a look on Pinterest for ideas how to seperate the room off, I had loads of ideas when I did it.

I found that I tended to work from The bed and my productivity went down the drain. Naps were just too tempting Smile

My office is in the kitchen now and it's a million times better!

I'm going round in bloody circles with this and no help from dh but that's a good idea spin , might ponder that one as ds never goes in his room during the day.

Idea of the evening thus far is to test it out by putting both in the middle bedroom, should just about fit, and if it works do the big switch around when they're a bit bigger and need more space. Then dh can have the box room for his office.
