how to stop a neighbours cat using the gravel patch as his toilet [hmm]

I know it's funny, but really - spent 80 quid on gravel and delivery of it, and now the bugger cat thinks it's laid out for him - I thought cats don't like sharp stones but he obv likes digging. The gravel is in thin layer, don't want to spend on buying many layers.
I like cats, I just want to put him off from this one patch - do you think air freshener spray would repel him, or anything else? Going away soon and don't want to come back to stinking garden - probably a net could help?

Get some green gel stuff from pets at home or garden centres. We've found it works well, you reapply once a week, more if it rains

Buy some moth balls & put them in various places on the gravel.

Poundland or Wilko sell them!

The smell is not really lovely but does fade & does not affect the environment.

thanks, pimple - I think that would be second choice as I hate the smell, but if green gel doesn't work, will try - at least it'd be far from the windows.

Don't bother with the green pellets - they don't work

I remember when we had many young cats playing cat chess (see Terry Pratchett's cat book) in our garden my mum put down loads of green repellent pellets - the cats ate them.

Jeyes Fluid is toxic to cats (and most other animals since it contains phenol). Even getting it on their paws or fur so they wash it off can kill them. The OP likes cats.

Lion poo should keep them off (no, really!). You can get it in garden centres and hide with a bit of gravel.
