Cos really I just want to squeal... FINALLY it is all done and we can set a date to move!!!!!!!!!!! Solicitors are just sorting that out now. I can't believe I could be living somewhere else in handful of days, omg!!!!!!

We managed to empty and pack up the loft yesterday which was one of the tasks I was dreading. Four trips to the dump later and it's looking a lot more manageable! Why did we hold on to all that crap for years?

How is everyone getting on?

We have agreed a completion date (hopefully!!) today & should be able to exchange next week. We are just haggling with our buyers over an electrical survey they have had done, they want us to meet them half way (£700) of work. Some is "essential" some is nice to have stuff, I'm philosophical can see how I would feel if I had received that survey, but not so sure OH will agree! Braced for an argument with him! So hoping we can sort this as it seems most other things are working themselves out.

aberchips glad everything seems to be running smoothly (ish) for you. Hope you get the electrical survey sorted out and agreed.

We're still aiming for 1st Aug and should conclude missives next week. Removal firm all booked and childcare arranged.

I'm now on first name terms with a few of the guys from the local dump I'm there so often. I'm off work today so will continue with my cleaning and clearing mission. Today is cupboards under the stairs and bubble wrapping pictures, paintings and frames.

Rum you're making me nervous now as I am so unsorted as far as the big clearout goes! I am banking on being able to do a massive purge this weekend.

Electrical thing now sorted I hope so looking better. Booked our removals yesterday. So hopefully on track for 1st August!

That's good news aber glad it's all sorted. My sorting has been put on hold whilst me and DS enjoy the sunshine.

We've have an offer accepted and are now waiting for the survey which will be done on Wednesday. We're still hoping to complete by the 23rd of August but I'm not sure that's going to happen! We're abroad at the moment and our flights are booked for then so we'll have to move to somewhere!

I'm joining in! Accepted an offer on my flat 2 weeks ago, the dream scenario of a cash buyer with nothing to sell! everything is with the solicitors just waiting for it to be done. Have already agreed their date of entry will be 2nd september, they got our home refreshed report a few days ago and looks like they won't be doing their own survey which I think is daft but that's their call! If we get to tomorrow and haven't heard anything think I will relax a bit!
