Wooden worktops - any photos?

I'm trying to decide on whether or not to get a wooden worktop in my new kitchen. I keep reading on here that it's not a good idea and they go black around the sink / mark easily / are horrendous to look after. I've been trying to find some pictures of used wooden worktops to no avail. Only brand spanking new showroom ones to be seen on the internet.

Is there anyone on here that's kind enough to post pic of the state of their wooden worktop? Please?

There are tons of negative threads on here about wood worktops and it did make me worried too. But I did tons of research and actually there are as many threads bemoaning the stains on granite or the cheap look of laminate.

I went for walnut and used osmo oil and it is beautiful! I am pretty fastidious about wiping up water marks but nothing has marked it so far and it really does look great.

Nononon - Nobilia do a fantastic range of upmarket laminates including a wood effect one. There are other very good laminates in the market now - just can't remember their names offhand.
