Is it yours? Are you looking for constructive criticism?

lessonsintightropes · 12/06/2014 21:18

I'm not sure about the breakfast bar in the kitchen, and it looks a bit dark - but I think that will probably be more to do with the photos than in the flesh. The layout is nice, it's probably a bit too small for a big family, but I like what they've done with the place. Is this one you're looking at? Will it meet what you're looking for?

Noisy mid terrace

Tiny garden

voiceofgodot · 12/06/2014 21:28

Yes small garden, and the photos could be better. But quite good otherwise, for the price :)

No one we are looking to buy.
It would be our first home.
There is a big back garden.

It will be our starter home.

I'm guessing it's an appropriate price for it's area and I think it's pretty good. Looks as tho you can move straight in.

Don't like doors to kitchen units. You could make it look so much better for a small amount.

Love the big mirrored wardrobe in bedroom and the kitchen breakfast bar.

I'd buy it Grin

lessonsintightropes · 12/06/2014 21:32

Missda, the only thing I'd think about is how big your family will be when you're in there - that study isn't big enough for a bed really, and the downstairs is quite a cosy layout - so probably fine with one but would feel cramped with two DCs.

Raskova · 12/06/2014 21:32

On closer inspection, they're actually the doors I have in my kitchen Blush

I honestly think it's really nice.

voiceofgodot · 12/06/2014 21:35

Not a bad starter home! I live somewhere where a 3 bed house would start at 600k, so think this is a real bargain!

Missda · 12/06/2014 21:38

This is another option but I think it needs too much work.

I think it looks nice and practical for a first home.

Raskova · 12/06/2014 21:41

Hmmm it's no tv half as stylish but the outside shows great potential to be nice and at 30k cheaper would it be cheap enough to refurb without losing too much money?

Missda · 12/06/2014 21:41

The other house is further down the street but is the same size.

Mintyy · 12/06/2014 21:41

The photos are absolutely dreadful (how do the EAs get away with it?) but the house itself looks very nice! You need to go and see it for real and make sure it isn't as dark as the photos seem to make it.

BumWad · 12/06/2014 21:43

I think the first one is lovely for a first home

Raskova · 12/06/2014 21:45

I think the second one only needs a few licks of paint in the right place tho.

Rivercam · 12/06/2014 21:47

Lovely views. A bit bland at the moment but you could make your mark. Good starter home.

Missda · 12/06/2014 21:51

With the second one I would want to knock through the kitchen and dining room and swap them over as kitchen is tiny and you would then have a larger kitchen with a dining room that would have a door out into the garden.

It also needs new flooring throughout although from viewing other propertied there are lovely floorboards underneath them.

I think it is worth a visit then doing some sums.

Don't like #2 - first looks like a much better option.

PrimalLass · 12/06/2014 22:13

Number 2. Because of the price and the extra space to the side.

PrimalLass · 12/06/2014 22:14

And because I cannot bear leaded windows.

The back garden also looks flatter?

burnishedsilver · 12/06/2014 22:22

Has potential. Doesn't need much. Lovely view. You'll probably outgrow it fairly quickly though.

Spinaroo · 12/06/2014 22:26

In think it looks nice! In a nice street! Not too keen in number 2 but then I am lazy....

WhatAHooHa · 12/06/2014 22:36

Looks nice though think it may be overpriced, looking at other recent sales of comparable properties if you could get it down a bit in price it would be more realistic sales in area

is parking an issue there? No one seems to have parked in front, no mention of a garage or driveway. Fighting for a space on the road all the time can be irritating.
