Chair in the hallway...

Do you have one? If so what is it like?
Dh and I have decided we need one, he'd like one with arms.

I'm thinking either something like this or this. I'm slightly worried the first might look too large and the second like we've moved a dining room chair into the hall.
It's a cottage like house.

Well why did you post two pictures of chairs in your OP saying that you need one and your DH wants one with arms?

Flip chart, rtft.

I prefer a wooden pew like bench- have you room for that?

Err because we do need a chair to sit on to put on shoes more easily and dhs preference was for a chair with arms. mrslettuce suggested a bench and we thought that was a good idea.

I'd love a pew, but I don't think it'll fit.

See picture below, ignore the mess! I'm thinking of putting it (chair/bench/whatever) against the stairs. Although I could get rid of/move to another room, the console and get a smaller table and a chair where that is.
The dog crate will need to move.

We've got a bench a bit like this one:
www.interiorwhite.co.uk/living/sojerd-white-storage-bench-383/product-details?gclid=CMC7xc7W4r4CFYXKtAodjygAiA

The storage in the top holds random school books (in theory), and we've got baskets (from Ikea) on the shelf underneath for hats/gloves/sunnies.

It doesn't always work as somewhere to sit on for shoes, though - I leave stuff on it for kids to take up to their rooms, and it can stay there for months a while.

We also have a spare dining chair in the corner - more useful for sitting on!

Forget the table, lets concentrate on that Georgeous Dog. If you gave him & his crate to a very deserving home you would have masses of room for a bench, table & sofa.. Grin

Ooh, lovely hallway. And dog.

I'd got for a bench too, for the extra storage.

this one from Made maybe would go with your dark grey lampshades

We've got this one in our kitchen, it looks good and we can store plenty in the baskets. Also available in white.

I think a bench exactly where you have stated against the wall. I too love your dog, is it a Cockerpoo ?
