There are a handful of them halfway up my house and some hanging around a section of wall in the garden.

Any advice would be most welcome. Thank you.

I had them when I lived in an old wooden boat. I couldn't work out why there were tiny little circles of leaf over my kitchen counter, and what was cutting circles out of my roses. And why did the same fat bee keep coming in? She was making a nest in a hole in the timber frame, but kept flying through a slightly open window, drop her leaf bits for nest making, and buzz about getting very cross indeed, I would let her out of the door, off she went happily, and then the same thing would happen half an hour later. I was a bee servant for a whole Summer! Not to mention trying to protect her from Cherry, the huge garden spider that lived on that window.

Thank you everyone. I will let them be (or bee!). My decorator scared me with horror stories of the potential damage they could cause! I imagined the house just falling down one day :)
