Is there a combi boiler that can give water for two showers at once?

We're looking at replacing our boiler before we start on a kitchen re-fit. I've had two central heating engineers out. Told both that we'd like a boiler that can deal with two showers at the same time. First guy has given a quote for a Worcester Bosch 42 CDi; the second guy has said that there isn't a combi boiler on the market that can really deal with water for two showers at once - you will get reduced temperature. Second guy is recommending a Megaflow.

Does anyone know whether the Worcester Bosch 42 CDi (or any other combi) would cope with two simultaneous showers?

If it makes any difference the second guy measured our water flow and said it was AMAZING. He actually stopped before turning the tap to max as it said there was no point - the flow was good enough for whichever option we went for.

we have a wb 42cdi boiler and although we can run two showers the flow to both goes right down and its a heavy trickle rather than the normal shower we would have - our normal shower is really good, water can come out so hard it can be sore if you stand too close to the shower head. turning on a tap or having the washing machine on isn't too bad, its only the bath or running a 2nd shower which has an effect.

should have said our heating engineer suggested we install one shower to run off the boiler and the 2nd boiler should be an electric one.

sorry meant 2nd shower should be electric not 2nd boiler.

Hi
I am late to the thread and I know Piglet and others have given all the best advice.
Can I just tell you that yes - in theory you can run 2 good showers from a combi. And, in fact, we can do that in our house.

The important factors are:
high mains water pressure
a high enough KW boiler (regardless of make)
and to some extent the way your house is plumbed and the type of shower/shower heads you have.

Megaflow is probably the better option, if possible.

Old pipe converted to mains pressure is a huge problem
If the pipes in concrete are not protected then no matter what pressure system you have they will fail any time anyway.

Would love to know which boiler you went for...I'm having the same dilemma!

A colleague of DH's had a combi boiler for a 2 shower house, but it filled a tank.

If oyu live high on a hill, even one shower is ambitious, some days
