Would love to find a mirrored cabinet that doesn't look cheap (but doesn't cost £500!) with all of these features. Any suggestions gratefully received!

My bathroom mirror doesn't fog

I have an effective extractor fan

These facts are related.

It is on an external wall with CWI, possibly your walls are colder.

Don't put a cabinet directly over a basin or WC. When a glass jar or bottle slips from your wet soapy hands it will cause chips and cracks.

Hang on, I'll see if I can find the company we bought our bathroom mirror from online. It has lights on a sensor switch, a shave socket, and a heated pad inside so it never mists. Tis fab.

Here.

They do cabinets too.

Wow Cointreau that's fab. Thank you!!

I notice it's only the LED mirrors that have the demister pad. Not the fluoros. How does the light compare, I mean how flattering is it? Thought fluoro was bad enough and don't want to be any more hag like first thing in the morning when one is not at ones best Smile

Piglet John the electrician will be installing a more powerful extractor fan at the same time, rest assured. I've avidly read your posts on this subject elsewhere - massive thanks for patiently explaining bathroom physics. But it's still a small bathroom with no external windows so it's always going to fog up by the end of a long, hot shower. And it's tiny so there's nowhere else for a cabinet to go other than above the sink - in an ideal world I'd do it otherwise but needs must etc.

I would go for LEDs anyway, as they use little power and last for ever. Can't comment on how hag-like it will make you look, Grin however, having lights all the way around is more flattering, methinks.

I had my cabinet from illuminated mirrors too. I love it. Definitely make sure whatever you get it has fully adjustable shelves if it's a cabinet. That's one of the things I liked about mine as it meant my toothbrush on its stand could fit inside to charge as the socket is inside.
My mum is looking for a cabinet at the moment, and I've recommended the company to her too. Then she looks at something on Ebay, that while nice, doesn't have the adjustable shelves or might not be soft close doors etc. Hopefully she'll get the idea that it's worth the extra £50 to get the one I suggested.

We got ours from here too. The Lana cabinet. We absolutely love it! It feels really solid, and appears much more expensive than it was.

Look at HIB we have a illuminated heated mirror. Think they do it as a cabinet too
