Living in a development with social housing

Hi,

We are thinking of living in a relatively new development in london that has over a 1/3 of properties belonging to social housing. Would this be a problem?

I used to live in a flat that was part of a development of two blocks, one housing association and the other privately owned. The housing association block was always quiet but there were a lot of noise issues from the private block where the owners had rented their flats out. One flat used to have loud parties and throw glass bottles out of the window. The managing agents did nothing.

I think it depends on who is managing the block and how well they deal with issues as they arise.

have a good look at the develepment, things like how well kept it looks, ie are the gardens nice, do people take pride in their surroundings. I would far rather live in an area of social housing with nice well kept gardens and houses, than around owner occupier houses who neglect their homes and gardens
