Man buying my house is a cock

I happened to discover that the man buying my house is a cock. A seriously horrible person. I don't want to give too many details but I guess I can say it's historical domestic violence.

I don't know whether to go ahead with the sale or not. In one way, I don't want to be doing business with this man at all, but on the other hand, if we pull out, everyone else in the chain will lose their homes and I would feel so guilty. I don't care if we have to stay here longer for ourselves. I would write the solicitor fees off.
But what about our neighbours? :(

I don't know what to do.

Thanks. :)
It's been a help to talk things through here and get advice. Thanks

Cross post!

Hmm, I guess that anyone could move in and turn out to be awful. Your poor ex neighbours squiggle.

I would emphasise the dealing with him carefully bit. Our buyer didn't get a survey because he knew best (cash buyer) and then spent the next 3 years sending us threatening letters about stuff which would have shown up on a survey and bad-mouthing us to all the neighbours. Since he clearly didn't have a leg to stand on, we just ignored him and he eventually gave up.

It's business. I never know why people invest such emotion in selling a house.

^^

Be thankful someone wants to buy it...

Enough people don't, or have the money to.
