Quite a big leak; have I forgotten to do anything?

Yesterday the cold water tank in the attic has overflowed and the joint to the over flow failed

I had water pouring through the Bathroom, DD's bedroom and the lounge ceilings

I turned the electric off, turned the water off, rang the plumber, rang the insurance company, we have de-humidifiers in & working the insulation is out of the attic, everything damaged is put to one side

What have I missed?

I have nothing to add, and it is very un-mumsnetty, but I want to send you a (dry) hug. You seem so calm and pragmatic. You are, as mentioned above allowed to cry or swear.

The loss adjuster has been, I need:

New insulation
New bathroom ceiling, walls & ceiling painted, new light fitting & new floor up to £33 a sqm
Paint DD's room ceiling & new light fitting
New lounge ceiling and probably coving, new wallpaper, walls & ceiling painted and new laminate up to £11 a sqm

But the contents man (who has yet to be seen) will deal with the rug, DD's carpet & maybe the dishwasher - the buildings man wasn't sure.

Phew - that was a day

wow, going to be busy. Hopefully it will all be done and dusted for Christmas though, and you will have lovely new floors.
