Kitchen - wood worktop and wood floor. Too much?

That's it really. I'm going insane planning the new kitchen and we've decided we're going for wooden worktops. However can't decide on floor. Originally we thought tiles but now coming around to the idea of engineered wooden floor.

Cabinets are white gloss, worktops are oak, tiles are white and walls will be a sort of green.

Hello - and sorry for resurrecting a zombie thread!! I found this thread on a google search for kitchens as I'm having the same dilemma that Iggly had last year!
May I ask what you went for in the end Iggly?
We are considering ivory painted oak kitchen with oak worktops, but we're undecided on flooring!
