Would you put your dishwasher in the middle of a run of units?

Currently it is at the end, to the left of the sink but we would gain wall space (so a cupboard and some worktop) if we moved it to the right.

Would it be really annoying? ie tripping over it to get to the sink.

Ours is in the middle of the run, though next to the sink. I think being beside the sink is important as I always rinse really mucky things before putting them in the dishwasher. But tripping really isn't an issue.

mine is at the opposite end of the kitchen to the sink,. doesnt bother me, just so grateful to have it.

Mine is in the middle of a run next to the sink too, if I leave the door lying open it is annoying, but you just have to learn to shut it! :)

ooh lots of answers, thank you. Quite good to hear it's ok. We are a bit lazy about leaving it open, as it's at the end of the run although to actually sit down on a chair in the kitchen we have to close it.

It would be between the sink and the hob so might get in the way, it would be sink, then dishwasher, then hob with oven underneath. I think you could still get round it without closing it but will have to check.

cant leave mine open, offshot kitchen so teeny, mine is sink at end of run, cooker in the middle and dishwasher at the toher end, that makes it sound big, there is only one cupboard between each.

That would be the other possibility for us Dita. But I do rinse some things in the sink and tip ends of tea etc. away so I think it would be a pain, but will consider it too.
