Want to move further out into Kent, to get more property for our money and good schools. Can anyone tell me about Faversham? Or any other suggestions?

Faversham seems to suit what we are looking for in that we can afford the size of property we want there, and it looks like a nice town, but we are reading such different reports - from Lovely sleepy town - to Chaversham Faversham.

Would love to have some first hand reports. Also any other suggestions for places to live in Kent that are nice but affordable, would be really appreciated.

Christine - I work locally now and miss the commute - it was the only hour's peace and hot coffee I ever had Grin

:o squiffy. One of my friends who works from home gets up an hour before her children as a sort of replica commute bit of peace and quiet!

There's even a Waitrose in Canterbury now... Grin

thankyou very much for your comments - I think that DH would really struggle with the commute - he also doesn't always work traditional hours - which wouldn't help.

Lol at the getting up an hour early - and at the Waitrose thing - I know - I looked it up Blush

There's been a Waitrose in Ramsgate for years....

Hey Squiffy, it HAS been ages. But I have been rubbish since I went back to work after DS arrived. I will dig out your email tonight and sort out a drink if you fancy braving the Fav chavs (or I can drive to a village pub!).

Or maybe I can try to arrange a Faversham MN meet-up (quakes at thought!)?

Just wondering if you did move? I came across this thread as been trying to research myself but as your original thread, there are good & bad reviews! We are also looking to move further out into Kent but our housing budget is not as great as yours. Just wondered what your views were x x x
