Please help me find wallpaper/cushions to bring my living room together

First of all, I have already bought these sofas so any comments as to their hideousness are unwelcome

I've bought this from sofa.com

and this from JL

we are having white shutters as it's an awkward bay window to put curtains in, so there will be no pattern unless we have wallpaper. But I'm going crosseyed looking at designs!

I was looking at various duck egg coloured patterns, but now I've seen the swatches next to the sofas, it would be too much blue in the room.

So maybe something with a white background and a colour to match the snuggler???

Can't you add interest and colour with paintings mirrors lamps etc?

yes I suppose so. It would be MUCH easier to choose paint colours...and I'd be less likely to go off them...hmmmmmmm...

i would get some cushions made up in fabrics that pull the two colours together i think in the first place - a velvety stripe for example. You will need to see samples of course to make sure you are getting a good match (you are unlikely to find what you are looking for trawling the High St) but there are online fabric searches now try Harlequin, Designers Guild, Osborne and Little. You don't need much fabric and your local curtain maker can make them up for you if you aren't handy.

Wallpaper is a big expense and if you add in interest with fittings as Noddy suggests you will probably have enough going on in there.

I've already trawled my local curtain shop for fabric before I realised curtains weren't going to work, so I have seen some nice fabrics already.

oh good then you are ahead of the game, choosing fabrics can be daunting as there is so much choice, but the shop should help you and be able to make them up for you too.
