Letter to mortgage company for permission to rent our house out

we have decided to rent our property out. we have made an offer on another property for us to buy and have a tenant to move into ours. we have to ask the mortgage company for permission to rent it and wonder if anyone has done this and has a letter i can copy from.

We did it but I doubt we still have the letter. I think DW called them first to discuss it then confirmed it in writing.

Our building society (Skipton) just sent us a form to complete after we called and spoke to someone about it. And they added 0.5% to our interest rate.

I emailed my lender requesting permission to rent. Said that I needed to do so due to DH job and they were very quick to send a letter back saying ok.

thanks guys. i rang my mortgage company and they said my mortgage and everything would stay the same i just had to apply in writing for them to consider whether they would say yes or no, and there was a fee of £300! typical
