Meant to say, the property down the road is £900 a month rent! We might rent ours out and go rent elsewhere lol!

chandellina · 20/06/2011 10:07

£1675 rent for a 3 bed semi in SE London. The house is worth about £550k. That's cheap - rents now are more like £2000-£2500 for same.

Mortgage for small 2 bed, now extended to 3 is £1350. Rent for house further along the road that is still a 2 bed £1400. Just outside London, it's v expensive and a struggle sometimes, but it would be hard to rent anything cheaper even in the wider local area.

Dontbugmemalone · 20/06/2011 10:31

Last year, I rented a 3 bed semi with garden for £500 per month, origionally £550 but we negotiated with landlord. This was in an area just outside Birmingham.

microserf · 20/06/2011 15:24

SW London - 3 bed semi - rent is 2166/month.

HumanBehaviour · 20/06/2011 16:04

NettoSuperstar · 20/06/2011 18:11

iMemoo · 20/06/2011 18:12

£360 pr month for 3 bed semi.

LauLauLemon · 20/06/2011 18:15

£550 for a large three bedroom terrace in a city with a large fully enclosed garden and a bathroom that is bigger than the living room and is essentially a Tardis.

I know the landlord pays £475 mortgage a month as the landlord is my uncle in law.

It's situated next door to a hairdressers and restaurant on one side and across the road from a pub which is probably why the cost is down but it's a lovely, very central area and the pub only ever gets slightly loud on a weekend when there's karaoke.

blackteaplease · 20/06/2011 18:17

we pay £800 rent for a three bed end terrace with garage and garden in Exeter

Mahraih · 20/06/2011 18:19

We've just bought a 3 bed terrace (50% mortgage) in SE London. Will be £750 per month.

Cheaper than the 1-bed we're currently renting 5 minutes drive away!

Macaroona · 20/06/2011 18:21

£1200 for 2 bed semi on a 65% mortgage.

I love that we bought at the top of the housing boom Hmm

£550 per month mortgage on a 3 bed terrace in yorkshire - 95% mortgage...only 22 years to go!

jasper1980 · 21/06/2011 11:44

£350 for 3 (could be 4 but don't count the box room) bed mid terrace 90% mortgage, front garden(quite small will convert to a drive) and decent ish rear garden.

£250 for a tracker only mortgage(this is DP's old flat that we now rent out), 2 bed flat on 80% mortgage.

In scotland so its cheaper in general.

SingleFosterMum · 21/06/2011 20:14
