I disagree the price difference will be huge .... It isn't their job but it ought to be, they give vendors advice about painting everything cream, they ought to be advising this poor bugger to sort out the mess or doing it for them if they are Australia or whatever.

think its a bit sad actually. Makes no difference its an auction property, could still have removed some of the rubbish. developer will probably flatten the site anyway.

Picture 13 doesn't match picture 1 & it is stated to be a bungalow? Confused

GentleOtter · 13/06/2011 12:19

Are those urns of ashes on the mantlepiece in the 8th picture?

I feel terribly sad for the former occupant but the house could be lovely with some tlc.

It's 2 houses Bohica - a 3 bed house and a 3 bed bungalow - both in a similar condition I'm guessing Shock

Agree it is very sad how some people end up living

Bohica · 13/06/2011 12:38

Ahh that will teach me to skim read, thanks rachel

It might have been empty for years, originally in OK condition, but invaded by hordes of partying teenagers or tramps or something [hoping here that the story isn't that sad...]

I agree that people don't look past the superficial. We bought our house ludicrously cheap (well, actually ludicrously expensive, but cheap for SW London) - I mean at least £100k less than the market rate for similar sized houses - becaue it was scruffy and painted orange and crimson throughout. And dirty: occupied by divorcing couple, angry teenagers, many many cats and multiple smokers. But it was sound, and transformed by a lick of paint.
