Can anybody (or anybody's dh/friend/butler etc) answer a quick questions about patios for me?!

Our new patio has been laid this week and was pointed today. I know we can't walk on it today but does anyone know if it will be ok to walk on it tomorrow? The dc have friends coming around tomorrow and unless they take up polevaulting it's going to be very difficult for them to get into the garden!

I'm not a builder, and DH is not here to help. But it depends on your weather. The pointing needs to have "gone off", ie set. You should know to look at it really. If it still looks wet stay off it, if it looks completely dry you should be ok.

This only applies if the pointing has been done a few days after the patio laid, which I assume from you post it has. They laid the stone, and came back a few days later to point.

Thanks squirted. Yes the stones were laid by weds and the pointing was done yesterday (just finishing a side bit today). The colour has changed so I think it has gone off. TBH it's a bit gloomy today so hopefully dc won't want to be outside too much anyway
