Anyone heard about potential House of Fraser/John Lewis 20% day this week?

My Mum's friend, who works at John Lewis, says they're preparing to "respond to a competitor's event" this week. The rumour is that House of Fraser might be doing a 20% "guerilla sale", in which case JL would do likewise.

Totally unconfirmed, don't want to get anyone's hopes up, but that's what they're saying...

Anyone else heard anything similar?

I overheard a conversation between staff at JL (Cardiff) today about a debenhams 20% event tomorrow (plus wed and thurs) that JL will be price matching...

I went a few weeks ago and they were matching a house of fraser (I think)20% sale .
We have staff discount 25% so loads of stuff was 45% off !
