HI there, Boffer here are selling off Woolies stock and other gadgets computer stuff etc. I don't know much about them but they seem OK. Just bought a 'Simon' game for nephew's birthday. It's worth cutting and pasting them item into google to check that it is actually a bargain though. The items are on the screen until they are sold (or get bored I think!) and then they move on to something else so it's worth checking back now and then. What else do us P/T or SAHM mums have to do with days anyway - the kids are fine with their SunnyD and computer games!

Lol i used to use Wollies batteries they were always quite good and now i can get 288 of them for £20, im in!

myfunnynametaken · 17/02/2009 16:55

I'm a bit confused by the website. Am I right in thinking that you can only buy the item that's on the screen and that they change it frequently? How does it work?

cluelessnchaos · 17/02/2009 16:56

yes

sarahken · 17/02/2009 18:39

Thanks for that, I 've just managed to get a BT digital baby monitor for £15.99 that usually sells for £60 on Amazon, love a bargain. Ordered one for a friend also! Can't wait to see what they have next, will have to keep checking back. Have you ever bought off this site before, just a bit concerned as it declined my card twice before putting through the purchase, and there's absolutely no reason why my card would be declined. Just never heard of the site before.

TeaSleepFood · 17/02/2009 19:41

No I haven't but they've had quite a bit of press.

Oh, also they often seem to have only 3 month warranty etc so check all the details to see what's important to you

how often do they change the item for sale. at the moment it is a bratz something or other. will it stay like that all day or change several times?

TeaSleepFood · 18/02/2009 09:16

NO this should change several times today. They say that they stay on sale until the stock has gone. I think they also stop after a while as we get bored! If you look at the column on the left, these are items which have been on since monday.(click on one of these and when that comes up there is a full list in grey to the right)

poopscoop · 18/02/2009 09:49

oh thanks for that Tea. That will be something else for me to get glued to, along with mumsnet, offer of the day and others!!

lisalisa · 18/02/2009 09:56

I can't see anything for sale other than the skull to reconstruct! I don't have a column on the left of this at all - just a grey column which is blank - please help!!

CantSleepWontSleep · 18/02/2009 10:27

There's only one item for sale at a time lisalisa, so the skull was it (it's changed now). The list of things that have already sold is on the right on my machine - click on something from that list and you'll get a longer list in grey on the right.

TeaSleepFood · 18/02/2009 10:27

Oops, the list is to the right. You can only buy what is the main screne at the time. The list is previous offers which you can look at in order to go 'doh I missed it' or ' Its all pants anyway'

poopscoop · 18/02/2009 11:55

GrinnyPig · 18/02/2009 12:13

I book marked this site this morning when I first saw the thread - it is going to become my new obsession. It looks like you have to check it very frequently. I missed the flip video camera this morning which I possibly would have gone for.

mumofdjandbabies · 18/02/2009 13:05

how much is postage?

Wallace · 18/02/2009 13:13

thing at the mo says 2.99, but guess it varies

mumofdjandbabies · 18/02/2009 13:55

cheers!

cluelessnchaos · 19/02/2009 15:50

my batteries arrived today and I got a flip camcorder for dd2 birthday, thanks for the tip off, now step away from the addictive boffer site.

soon2befamilyof4 · 19/02/2009 20:54

So do you use this "swoopo" thing to bid? It says it costs 50p per bid? I am getting quite confused, but I might have clicked on the wrong thing?

cluelessnchaos · 19/02/2009 22:09

I am not sure what you clicked, you click on the boffer me button

soon2befamilyof4 · 19/02/2009 22:20

Right I have worked out where I went wrong last time.

So the only thing you can buy on boffer at the mo is an MP3 player?

TeaSleepFood · 20/02/2009 17:49

Just to let you know that my game arrived 'as described'. I'm v happy!
Also found out that if you press F5, it refreshes the page - no wasting mouse time !
Sorry if I've created a monster wit this link..
