Hi All,

Just a tip for those of you who use Ryanair
The airline charges 10 euro per person when booking flights by credit/debit card . There is a way around it!
If you buy Ryanair vouchers on the website (very easy process) and then use the vouchers to buy your flights no extra charges for using your card,

When you buy the vouchers - You get the code immediately and then you just use that to pay for your flights therefore dodging the extra charges for use of debit
This will go towards beating the recession!!!!!

Ryanair charges 10 euros per person to pay by card. How the fuck else are you supposed to pay?

Thanks for the tip though, will remember that

Actually, have just been informed of the following from a friend. So it might be worth ignoring my op!

"Hmmm not sure if this will work.

? vouchers are multiples of 25 euros

? any amount not used is not redeemable

? when a ticket is more expensive youll have to pay the difference with debit card for which they may charge you (?)

Thanks for posting this tip - it's brilliant and does work!

We've just booked to fly with Ryanair to France in May for 5 of us so it would have cost us £50 extra just for the "privilege" of paying for the flights .

We ordered enough Ryanair vouchers to cover the cost and then booked the flights paying with these vouchers. We overpaid by about £5; significantly less than the booking fee would have been!!

Excellent bad pups, glad to hear it worked for someone!

I'd love to post my anti-Ryanair thoughts here but it would probably get MN into trouble.

I applied for one of those visa electron cards on the internet through Halifax. No problems at all to get it, it arrived within a week with no need to do any paperwork or speak to anyone. All done nice and quickly from comfort of my own home and now I don't have to give quite as much of my hard earned money to the thieving moneybags Ryanair !!
p.s. I just work out exactly how much its going to cost me, then do internet transfer of money from my normal current account to the electron account and within 10 mins usually I can book them (can take up to 2 hrs apparently)
