I want to get their fab bubble kit but do not want to pay £6.95 for the postage and packing!

bump - a good friend was just telling me about these bubbles. £6.95 is extortionate postage

Tigerlion · 17/12/2008 00:25

Bumptastico again. Can't believe their postage and packing and can't find it anywhere else. Someone at our playgroup used it last week and the kids went MENTAL over them - way better than any bubble maker I've ever seen.

Anyone know any where to get the Gymboree bubble kit without paying inspireme's outrageous postage and packing?

Dozymare · 23/01/2009 21:15

gymboree is not in the UK anymore. Our local one closed, and as far as I know, not in the UK

Please enlighten me.....

IlanaK · 23/01/2009 21:16

You need to go into one of the Gymboree gym places that do classes. We used to go to one and they have a shop at reception that sells the bubble stuff as well as musical instrumnets and stuff.

BCLass · 23/01/2009 21:18

I think it's US only and p&p is $6.95 in US - internatonal postage is $22

weepootleflump · 23/01/2009 21:34

Do you order from the website BCLass?

Dozymare · 23/01/2009 21:36

I love/loved gymboree.

BCLass · 23/01/2009 21:39

wpf - yes I have and am currently awaiting order!

As long as total is below £105 incl shipping only additional cost is £8 customs clearance.

Order arrived really quickly last time, something like 10 days, and that was over New Year.

weepootleflump · 23/01/2009 21:42

Ooooooh, I just assumed that like Gap they'd only post within US. What's the sizing like?

BCLass · 23/01/2009 21:59

wpf - sizing is very small. Thank goodness for Mumsnetters warning me about this else I would have purchsed wrong size!

DD 14 weeks is wearing 6-12 mo size, and she is on the 25th centile!

Unfortunately sterling plummetting so less economical than it was, but they always have some fab reductions in the sale.

excuse typing feeding dd with other hand

weepootleflump · 23/01/2009 22:36

Thanks for the info, shame about the sterling- wish I'd known about this early last year.

EachPeachPearMum · 23/01/2009 23:20

Ooh- bclass- useful to know about the customs charges- I love Gymboree -great for DD.
I've always found the sizes pretty true to age- though the gymmies/sleepsuits are a little small.

It is a lot more expensive this year though, due to pound/dollar rate- last year was fabulous at 2-1.

weepootleflump · 24/01/2009 17:13

It does work out very expensive.

I bought a Gymbucks code from ebay for £8- it gave me $50 off a $100 spend.

geordieminx · 24/01/2009 20:48

Can anyonw link to the bubbles? If they are the same I go to Gymboree class every week, they have the bubbles for sale -£7 I think? Would be happy to send them to people for postage?

weepootleflump · 24/01/2009 21:08

these?

geordieminx · 24/01/2009 21:17

Yep, thats the fellas - they arent very heavy so I dont suppose it would cost very much to post them?

Tigerlion · 25/01/2009 01:16

Are you on Paypal Geordieminx or could I do you an electronic transfer or send a cheque? I really would love to get the bubbles.
