well i have bought the coat

am hoping i got the right size now

crazyloon1 · 12/12/2008 07:52

what coat did you get filly?

Fillyjonk · 12/12/2008 07:53

they did have some decent trousers for girls, which i bought

but really not all that impressed

Wheelybug · 12/12/2008 07:53

well done Filly.

BTW - does anyone know why they changed the name of the colours for the sale ? The nighties had been called green and are now described as 'peppermint' and a purple skirt was suddenly 'blueberry'. Is it to make slow stock look more attractive ??? Bizarre.

Wheelybug · 12/12/2008 07:54

Yes, the girls trousers were fine but I already have 2 pairs (bought near full price I think) in dd's drawer that she hasn't grown into yet. grrr. Must go and stretch her. Wanted a big button dress for her as well but they were all gone.

crazyloon1 · 12/12/2008 07:55

He's got that willy wonka thihng going on hasn't he.

nicolamumof3 · 12/12/2008 07:56

i've ordered! Thanks x

Fillyjonk · 12/12/2008 07:59

lol fa he has hasn't he

maybe this explains the ruffles?

I am usually all for ruffles but it there is SUCH a fine line between ironicly gothy and frumpy and I fear johnnie is very close to that line

madamy · 12/12/2008 08:01

talk to me about sizing please!! I think dd would be a 5-6 looking at the sizing chart but she's v slim waisted - will trousers fall down? Tis a big problem!
Also ds is a tiny 19mths - currently in 9-12 (again slim waisted), should I get 6-12 or 12-18?

crazyloon1 · 12/12/2008 08:05

next seasons will be called 'everlasting cardigans' and stuff

Wheelybug · 12/12/2008 08:06

dd has that issue Madamy - they are a bit big round the waist but not as bad as some places.

I think I would get ds 12-18 months I found the smaller sizing quite small (and my dd was small then too).

Buy both and send one back ?

madamy · 12/12/2008 08:08

thank you v much!

MerryChristmasPANDAGHappy09 · 12/12/2008 08:16

yippee - ordered! :D

janx · 12/12/2008 09:07

Can we get free p&p?

Fillyjonk · 12/12/2008 09:24

madamy both mine are slim waisted and long legged (I have the opposite problem and I find Boden sizing good for them.

The only other places I can get stuff for them is sainsbury's (most of their kids trousers are adjustible) and monsoon.
Otherwise I have to faff about with a needle and thread. Cheap shops are USELESS for skinny kids

stitch · 12/12/2008 12:54

has it started?

sparklyxmasfairy · 12/12/2008 12:55

I set the alarm dd really wanted a particular dress and good thing too as an hr later it was gone

pamelat · 12/12/2008 15:40

OOps have spent £340!!! Will have to return some things.

pamelat · 12/12/2008 15:41

A lot of that was on xmas presents by the way - for other people.

Anyone know what their velvet coats are like? Have ordered the pink/lilac one but was dissapointed when my (non sale) velvet blazer arrived.

Even at half price their shoes are too expensive for me.

BusyBeeWithThree · 12/12/2008 22:44

I ordered some bits this afternoon but have not had an order confirmation by e-mail yet. Is this just me? - perhaps I messed up the order. I did get to the page with order number but didn't write it down as I assumed it would be e-mailed to me

puffling · 12/12/2008 23:13

The site will let me look at clothes but not order them. Is there a problem with it?

My things have arrived already, super quick delivery.

Bookswapper · 15/12/2008 00:11

wow...put in two separate orders..have only been charged postage once! Lovely!

(Why does this make spending £400 seem worth it all of a sudden?)

pamelat · 15/12/2008 09:44

Not fair!

I put in 2 separate orders and actually asked them to merge them and they said no, I "only" spent £340 though.
