Plan to spend about £500 in IKEA - do I wait until they have a sale? Can I get a discount from anywhere?

Know exactly what we want to buy and are willing to wait a bit if we can save a reasonable chunk of the expected £500 - checking ebay in the meantime too .

Just wondered whether any wise MNers had experience of Ikea sales (do they even have them?!) and/or getting some discount off of what, to us, is an awful lot of money to be spending. Thank you

Have you got one of their loyalty cards? (Called Family Card I think.) They often send money-off vouchers if you have one (so much off if you spend over xxx)

We tend to get 10 off if you spend 60 sort of vouchers by having the family card (think we get the vouchers every 2 months or so.

I only registered for a family card quite recently so haven't received any vouchers yet. Can you use the vouchers more than once? Will keep my eye out for them though - every little helps!
