forkhandles I just bought size 8 hush puppy boots as couldn't afford uggs - AARRGGHHHHHH

could always get brown ugg boots - almost seems rude not to

tequila, am right there with you, see above re black hush puppies

ILickYourSlimySleeves · 21/10/2008 21:35

Phew! Just cancelled them although the operator said that they couldn't cancel internet orders so I got a bit stroppy and said their size guide is very misleading. She put me on hold and then cancelled it no probs

Bubbaloo · 21/10/2008 21:35

I've just ordered the brown ones-thanks for the link Tequila.

There are lots on Ebay and some are genuine but I actually got an mail from Ebay a little while ago regarding the boots and there are lots of very good fake ones being sold.Infact they even attached pics of the genuine and fake boots,to show the difference. Will see if I can find the email, although I have a feeling I've deleted it.

forkhandles · 21/10/2008 21:40

Ah bless you Tequila that's not fair. You started this all off with your great link but you can't join in

dizzywitches · 21/10/2008 21:44

ILickYourSlimySleeves · 21/10/2008 21:46

Where are these size 8 - I cant see a link!

Ive just bought some yesterday from Gordon Scotts - £120.00 reduced from £140.00. I dont know if thats a good price or not.

Ive also bought some of ebay but they are fake they are called blue mountain ugg boots but the quality is S**t and seller is insisting that they are original uggs

Trix11 · 22/10/2008 09:22

Oh Im a dope I see where the link is now - Ive got my messages showing in reverse order!

weepootle · 22/10/2008 11:27

For those of you worrying about sizes; with genuine Uggs you should go down 1 size, so these size 8's will actually fit those who are size 9.

Bubbaloo · 22/10/2008 13:01

Weepootle-that may be the case with Ugg's but this site has already sorted the sizes out and the 8 is a uk size 8.

weepootle · 22/10/2008 16:24

Ah I see, it's very confusing. Mine are US5 which is UK3 but I'm usually a UK4. So, I take it these boots are a US10 which is a UK8. However that would still mean that they would actually be to fit people who are UK9. Phew, that was hard work!

nix66 · 23/10/2008 13:55

Hi all

Sorry to put a spanner in the works but I don't think these are real , something bugged me about the buttons and I've just checked the us uggaustralia.com site and they look completely different???

www.uggaustralia.com/gb/ProductDetails.aspx?gID=w&categoryID=283&productID=5819&model=Classic+Cardy

Might be wrong but the genuine ones buttons are huge these look tiny.

Was going to get some myself... as have big feet!

Nix

TequilaMockinBird · 23/10/2008 15:53

It's a genuine online retailer though - I've bought stuff from them before and had no problem.

They wouldn't be able to sell fakes, would they? Surely if they were just Ugg style they would have to advertise them as such?

Or am I just being too naive and trusting?

OP posts:
Bubbaloo · 23/10/2008 16:23

Think I'm with Tequila and agree they wouldn't be able to advertise them as Ugg if they are something else.
They sell many branded items at knock down prices and maybe just buy a huge quantity,so they can pass on the savings to customers.

bellavita · 23/10/2008 16:26

My friend got some from Makro yesterday, £99 plus vat.

nix66 · 23/10/2008 16:28

I have some genuine short brown Uggs which are a bit battered now, but the heel is still firm and not caved in like so many of the fake ones are. It's not worth it IMHO as I would be p'd off if I spent that much on some fakes.

I don't think you're being naive Tequila, it's just that I've lusted after a pair of cardi UGGS for ages now and just thought the picture looked odd. Did you look at the Ugg website? those buttons are completely different.

As I said I could be completely wrong....
