Eddas · 21/08/2008 11:57

nappyaddict, what's the entertainer?

nappyaddict · 21/08/2008 12:00

it's a toy shop. the website is the one fimbo linked to.

ds is at preschool til the 19th so that's the only time we can go really.

eandh · 21/08/2008 12:01

Eddas - you know gamleys is closing down apparently Entertainer have bought them out so we'll have another toy shop there!

nicolamumof3 · 21/08/2008 12:02

i've booked harrods for the 2nd december, couldn't comptemplate going into london any nearer to xmas and as i plan to have my shopping done and wrapped by the 1st december (yeah right!!) i might enjoy the run up this year!! I always buy in sales throughout the year, having 3 kids and one with a bday on 28th december it gets expensive and busy. I just hope i remember where ive put everything!!

expatinscotland · 21/08/2008 12:02

i have. BUT only because my parents live in America and are coming here for the month of November, so i've been able to buy things online on American sites and have them sent to their address for them to bring across, thus avoiding shipping costs and duty.

i got DH a very nice jacket and a DS lite game, DD1 a DS lite and DD2 some LeapPad books.

DH doesn't know it, but i know he got me a game for his DS lite and a couple of CDs i wanted.

Nbg · 21/08/2008 12:40

The rate is soooo soooo good atm.
I've seen some great stuff on the disney outlet site.
Is just working out your shipping costs and the tax and whether its worth it or not.

The entertainer have great savings. Theres nothing on there that would be any good for my kids though.

OP posts:
expatinscotland · 21/08/2008 12:42

yeah, see, normally what i do is have the stuff sent to my mother's and she keeps it till either she or my sister come through.

saves on shipping and taxes .

she takes everything out of the packaging and if it's clothes or sheets she washes them first.

I've jsut ordered lots of sale toys from Argos

HappyMummyOfOne · 21/08/2008 16:03

Have got lots of Sanctuary gift sets and other kinds in the loft from the Boots 75% sale in Jan - too many probably but can always use any leftovers myself. Also have some toys in the sales for presents for nieces and nephews. Was worth getting up early for a few weeks and will definately do it again next year.

Picked up a few bits of Amazon for DS recently as they have had some good deals.

cremolafoam · 21/08/2008 16:09
