Free Sky+ Box

Hi,
I've been dying to get Sky+ and I've just received one of those offers from Sky where I introduce a friend (a brand new Sky customer) and we both get a free Sky+ box.

If anyone is considering joining Sky and fancies taking advantage of this offer please let me know. You'd need to subscribe by 18th August and a £30 standard set-up fee is applicable.

A Sky+ box usually costs £199 + £120 installation.

its not free. your friend pays £30 installation and you pay £60 and can only ring for yours when they have had theirs for 3 weeks.

We did this recently for my mum but then we moved house and went with virgin instead!

Thanks - I did mention the £30 charge for the friend and I'm aware that I'd have to pay £60 for installation but the box is still free. And as for waiting for my box, I don't mind waiting if it means I save £259.

I got mine for free, i reccommended a MN'er, pretty sure she got hers free too, and neither of us paid any installation.

Also i got mine straight away, infact i got mine before my friend, and i didn't have to give her details she rang up herself afterwards, i just phoned up with the code.

NA... I wasn't a brand new customer, i had already been with sky for 7 months.

oh in the op it says you have to introduce a brand new customer. if this is not the case i'd love to take part.

Nappyaddict Its worth a try ringing sky and saying you want to leave they will ask you why tell them virgin media have offered you a v+ box for free 9 times out of 10 they will rather give you a free sky + box than loose you to virgin - I did this last week I am with virgin and told them I wanted to leave bla bla and I got a free v+ box with £30 installation they are coming on Wednesday to install - worth a go!
