Pro Tip if you're looking to rent. If the house got solar panels, take it! Even without the batteries. I was also fortunate to get the rental with a washing machine and dishwasher that you could program to start at your desired time of day or night. (yeah I know I've been living under a rock)
I spend almost nothing on electricity now, compared to my former place. I can't believe my eyes! Like, I can run my dishwasher every day at 10am now and not in the middle of the night. Octopus have decent solar export rates too! It builds credit on my account even before payment is due.
