Just wanted to share a cashback app called Sprive that’s been helping me save money without needing to think about it towards making mortgage overpayments.

I've used it so far to get cashback on purchases at Sainsbury's, Argos, Dunelm, Amazon and Cafe Nero in the region of 1-5% and it's really easy.
You basically generate a gift card in the app for your chosen retailer at the point of purchase, which is paid for by linking the app to your current account. Then, when you use the gift card, the percentage cashback that retailer offers is then added to your Sprive balance.
If you sign up via my referral code, you get a £5 starter bonus added to your cashback tally.
You can also link it to your bank account securely (FCA-regulated, if you're wondering!) and it works out what you can afford to overpay each week based on your spending. Then it automatically sends that amount to your mortgage provider. I've not used that feature yet.
