If anyone is like me and been paying through the nose over many years for expensive data packages from the likes of Vodafone etc…I thoroughly recommend ID mobile. They offer incredible data packages for about £6 per month.

im so happy i made the switch and would encourage anyone to look into it to see if they would be better off. Im saving about £30 a month for an identical data package.

use this link - or don’t - for even more money off….

Not the board for spam or discount codes.

I’ve used them for a few years now. Happy with the price, but the signal can be very hit and miss in places!

BridgetJones7 · 18/04/2025 14:51

Oh sorry! Found something great and wanted to share my knowledge 😢

Good luck with that.
ID Mobile signal coverage is the pits. Be prepared for crackly phone calls and zero reception in about 85% of the UK.
Customer services almost impossible to get through to and if you do manage it then no one will understand a word you are saying, and vice versa.
App useless, crashes all the time.

But hey, you're saving money! 🙂

They piggyback the Three network so depends on coverage in your area.

I've used them for years and never had a problem anywhere in the UK.

My kids have ID mobile sims and don’t have any issues. I’m switching over soon.

mamabluestar · 18/04/2025 14:57

Thank you - it's definitely something I'll keep in mind for when my contract ends

One of the few benefits of having kids - try them out as guinea pigs first 🤣

DS used to have an iD mobile. Never had a signal and they kept not taking the direct debit, didn't notify us so he'd get cut off and then try and charge a late payment fee.

Maybe they've improved.

Loads.

The most revelatory one most friends love is that Now TV has pretty much everything Sky has for a fraction of the price.

Compare your broadband/mobile/energy/insurances every time your contracted period ends (loads of comparison sites these days)

Topcashback is your friend. Route your normal purchases through this website and earn money for nothing. I can pm you a referral link if this interests you. E.g. your new ID contract could have earned you another £20ish if you'd gone through them.

Yes iD are good. Top tip though if you have problems (DD's SIM packed up when she returned from abroad) - they are part of Currys so if you go to a store they will help you out. It may take some time (for example iD were insistent that they had to send DD a text & of course she couldn't receive one). They got there in the end & it was much easier than trying to do it on the phone or internet.

Thanks! Agree completely re: NowTV. I used TopCashback and it’s a great thing - literally just an extra click that’s all you have to do!

Part of Curry’s? Wow had no idea

@Globules agree that Now TV is a brilliant way to get Sky content on the cheap and you can cancel when there’s nothing on you want to watch
