Just to say I got an Ikea family email this morning and it is a 21% off sale saturday with free breakfast for Ikea family member between 6-8am! Won't be going though - value my health and sanity....even though there is an armchair I really want!

Oh and it's only instore!

Yep, we didn't know about the sale!!!

Got to Thurrock at 1.00, had to park in nearby B & Q as IKEA gridlocked. Finished shopping at 6.00. Typically they had everything we wanted apart from 2 essential things (wardrobe doors). Suggested we try Edmonton as only 20 mins away and we got them there so luckily we don't have to go back. Got home about 9.00. The dds still aren't talking to us - 8 hours of complete boredom!!

Didn't think the sale made the shopping experience any worse. Still got a table for lunch, still took 2 hours to pick out goods in the warehouse, still 1 hour to get through the checkout.

Total discount £100 - so not bad
