Women’s voices needed - £15 for 15 mins of your time

I’m working on a UK voice recognition software project and am very keen to ensure we have enough women’s voices (of all races and all regional UK accents) in the mix, as I know AI has in the past been trained on predominantly male white voices, meaning we are not always heard by voice assistants/customer service bots. Can you help by spending 15 mins reading instructions and recording your voice via two short phone calls? As a thank you there is a £15 voucher for each person who takes part. You can register here

What is background and who are you working for? I see you are a first time poster

MotherSquirrel · 31/01/2024 14:10

The company is Websters International and you’re right, I’m a first-time poster. I’m a mum of two who has observed but never posted before - I guess I’m a lurker. I can understand you might have concerns about it being my first post. I figured the Mumsnet users are probably majority female and really do want to ensure we get lots of female voices to help train this voice recognition software, hence posting here.
